We had a very successful Huron-Perth Annual General Meeting and Tour. Mother Nature did not co-operate – she provided a cold, windy, rainy day all morning. But this didn’t stop the 50 attendees from enjoying the tour in Listowel.
Doug and Greg gave us a very informative and entertaining tour of the Middle Maitland Re-juvination Project. We could have spent more time and encourage everyone to take your friends and family to see these walking tours in Listowel – well done. It is all paved and there are different levels of difficulty.
We enjoyed a hot roast beef meal with all the fixings, (including gravy and dessert) thanks to Barb McCorquodale and her crew. After the meal, we had an excellent speaker, Erin Gouthro, who covered forest health.
We ended the day with the results of the penny auction of well over 30 items. A special thanks to all of the Directors who helped make this day a success. Many hands make light work, right down to the hand made maple leaf center pieces and the organization of the penny auction.
